KenyaCelebrities.Com: Where did you grow up and how was your childhood?
Phobia The Don: I was born in the year 1988, 6th October in Eastland’s BuruBuru to be specific phase four. That’s where I have been born and raised. I can’t complain about my childhood, everything was good though I had strict parents.
KenyaCelebrities.Com: What’s your stage name? Have you changed your name before?
Phobia The Don: My stage name is Phobia aka The Don aka Robah. And yes I had many names before I came up with Phobia but I can’t disclose them hehe!!! Phobia means fear of something so my main reason of calling myself phobia, is because I had stage fright.

Phobia The Don: Am 23 years
KenyaCelebrities.Com: When and how did you discover that you have a gift for singing?
Phobia The Don: I started writing lyrics back in high school form one during evening preps for preparations of each Fridays (Freestyle Friday) which was held in one class and anyone was allowed to drop verses.
KenyaCelebrities.com: Who else in your family sings?
Phobia The Don: Am the only musician in my family but my father is a part time music promoter, my brother is a deejay and my small sister is a pianist.
KenyaCelebrities.Com: What made you choose to get into music?
Phobia The Don:. I really don’t know how I got into music. Its just magic. What I can say is that I wanted to do music that can bring people together.
KenyaCelebrities.Com: What genre of music do you consider your work to be? Who are your major influences?
Phobia The Don: I mostly do rap/hiphop but I can rap on any beat so in short I can do any genre. Naji trust.!!!!!! Am diverse.
KenyaCelebrities.com: What embarrassing songs might I find on your MP3 player?
Phobia The Don: No embarrassing songs can be found in my MP3 player, maybe Lingala. But catch me dead listening to rock music.
KenyaCelebrities.com: If you could dabble in another genre of music, what would it be?
Phobia The Don: Dancehall Music

Phobia The Don: Rock music
KenyaCelebrities: Are you pleased with the progression of your career? Mainly are you glad to be working in the industry as of now or do you ever see yourself wanting to do something totally different ?
Phobia The Don: As for now am pleased with the progression of my music career and am glad to be working in the industry.
KenyaCelebrities.Com: Are you a member of any music organizations? Where do you Record?
Phobia The Don:. Am in a rap group called K-KLAN. I work with many studios like Ulopa Ngoma, Digilive but currently am working with producer Kaktus of Audio Kusini
KenyaCelebrities.Com: Where have you performed? What are your favorite and least favorite venues? Do you have any upcoming shows?
Phobia The Don: .I have performed all over Kenya like Namanga, Florida 2000, Carnivore, Embu, Nakuru, Thika, just to name a few and in Arusha Tanzania. Performing in Arusha (Tz) was my best because of their reception and ofcourse they pay better off than Kenya. Right now I have no upcoming shows but my videos are getting enough airplay on the Television stations.
KenyaCelebrities.Com: Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs? Do you think these topics will change over time?
Phobia The Don: I write my own lyrics and they talk about what is happening in our day to day lives.
Kenya Celebrities.com: who would you like to collabo with in Kenya?
Phobia The Don: Just to name a few like Juliani, Bobby Mapesa, Nonini and many more others.
KenyaCelebrities.Com: What are your rehearsals generally like? Do you have a set time each week in which you practice or are rehearsals more spontaneous?
Phobia The Don: I don’t really rehearse that much because I have been busy of late but am in studio at least once a week.
KenyaCelebrities.Com: What has been your biggest challenge as an artist? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
Phobia The Don: The biggest challenge is raising enough money to do a quality video and the most challenging is pushing your own music all over because people want to be bribed so that they play your music. I overcome all this by pushing more harder till I get my airplays.
KenyaCelebrities.Com: What’s your ultimate direction for your music career? Are you seeking fame and fortune?
Phobia The DonIf you do music, fame will follow up, am just doing music because I was born for it but at the end I still want fortune from music. Am a graphic designer that’s where I get my money.

Phobia The Don: Follow your hearts desires, Prayer and patience is the key to success. Focus.

Phobia The Don: Its only in Kenya where artists hate other artists music genre yet they are in the same music industry like Hip Hop vs Kapuka. It doesn’t make sense at all. And stupid beefs.
KenyaCelebrities.com: Have you ever had any strange or stalker type fans that you are aware of?how does it affect the closeness you have with your fans,media,e.t.c now?
Phobia The Don: If you keep on avoiding stalkers they will disturb you more so I just be friendly to them and yes it affects everything because media can make an artist or break an artist.

Phobia The Don: Am a graphic Designer and a Business man.
