Its looking like Mercedes just set the bar for the luxury hatch segment with their brand new A-Class. Hitting European dealers in the Fall (no word on America yet), the sporty five-door hatch will be available in 1.6 (109 hp) or 2.0 liter (211 hp) gas engines alongside diesel options which include a 2.2 liter, 170 horsepower engine. Underneath the aggressively lined metal is an interior that is just as sporty and features the option to fully integrate the iPhone and eventually other smartphones into the car's infotainment system. It also can be equipped with a variety of features from its stablemates including Distronic Plus, Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and Active Parking Assist. A3 killer?
